WESTFIELD, IN–  NYBL kicked off it’s 2nd Session in Indiana at the Pacers Athletic Center. Louisville Magic started the night off with a bang beating Advanced 2 Athletics by the score of 72 – 46. Cameron McClain or JCTMS led all scorers with 21 pts. He drained three 3-pointers in the 2nd half to help put away A2A.

In another early game, Advanced 2 Athletics beat Ball 4 Lyfe 7th grade 83 -63. Terrell Baker had one of his best games here at the NYBL. He scored 15 pts and had 5 assists. Advanced 2 Athletics controlled the game from the tip.

The feature game of the night was Ball 4 Lyfe 8th grade versus Hoop Dreams 8th grade. This game came down to the wire. B4L went undefeated last session in Greensboro but lost their first game in the 2nd session against Hoop Dreams. Hoop Dreams was losing this game by as many as 14 pts, but they fought their way back and eventually took the lead. The game was tied with 30 seconds to play & Hoop Dream possessed the ball. Jalen Davis was fouled on a questionable call with 9 seconds left. He drained both FT and Hoop Dreams went on to win the game 67 -63. Hoop Dreams was led by Sam Parrish with 15pts. Darrell Sweeting scored 22 pts in a losing effort.

The last game of the night featured home town Indy Heat Black and New York Lighting. The Heat led all game and New York Lighting kept fighting back, but to no avail. The Heat had a pair of guards,  who are one of the best back courts in the NYBL, Jamie Hodges and Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn. The Heat beat the Lighting 65 – 55 and Dravyn led all scorers with 17pts. Jamie Hodges chipped in with 15pts.
